We call our Kids Ministry Kidventure because our faith is an adventure! We strive to create an environment that is a happy place for both you and your kid. When kids come to Lake Forest Church, they are cared for by nurturing, trained leaders in spaces where they can find a connection to God and friends in fun, safe, and engaging environments.
Our goal is to partner with parents in the spiritual development of their kids – to love your kiddos as they discover and live out their role in God’s story.

Fun

We provide environments where kids can have fun first, because we know that is how young minds engage.

Friendship

We help kids develop friendships with the other kids and leaders in their classes so that they have an environment where they feel seen, known, and loved.

Faith

Because kids feel comfortable and loved through the fun and friendship they have in Kidventure, we are able to teach them about the God who made them, loves them, and wants to be their forever friend.
Each Sunday Morning, Kidventure holds programming for all kids (babies – 5th grade), where they can attend Kidventure at 9:15 or 11 am to experience faith, fun, and friendship in action! Our time together consists of worship (music), a Bible story, games and interaction, crafts, a memory verse, and more!
Your kids will always be welcomed by dedicated, friendly folks who do everything possible to help bring smiles (we’ve also been known to make bribes using Goldfish crackers), and who are background checked for their safety. Our leaders are called Guides as they help guide kids on their faith journey!
 
Club 54 meets every Sunday and offers a discussion-based curriculum that is tailored to 4th-5th graders in their unique season of life. Additionally, Club 54 holds events throughout the year and a Foundations class for 5th graders that helps them explore their faith in Jesus.
 
During the year, we host a collection of events for kids and families! Each Easter, we host ‘The Hunt,’ and each summer, we host a week-long summer day camp called ‘Adventure Camp.’

Safety First

It’s important to us that you feel your kiddo is in good hands so that you can participate in worship distraction and worry free. Every person who works with children at LFC must first pass a background check and receive proper training.
When you arrive, we’ll check your child into the appropriate program using our computer kiosks, get to know him or her and introduce you to the guides they will be staying with during service. Parents and kids receive matching identification tags that allow us to note any allergies or special needs your child may have, page you during the service if needed and to ensure only you can pick up your child after service. It’s a good idea to arrive at least 10 minutes before service starts to make sure we can get you settled in without feeling rushed.

Your Child’s Health

For the protection of all Kidventure kiddos and guides, we ask that you please do not place your child in our program while they are experiencing the following conditions: recent cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness.

Are you eager to make a difference?

Join our Kidventure team of “Guides” by providing a nurturing and dynamic environment to learn about and experience God in our Early Childhood and Elementary programs (infants – 5th grade). There’s opportunity to greet and check-in families, lead small groups, provide technical support, sing, act, or create as you partner with parents on the spiritual growth of their children.
