Service & Missions

We want to serve our communities, our world, and our church family well. We believe that every person is created for the work of loving others well, and there are many opportunities to serve, both on Sundays and throughout the week.

Where can I serve at church?

In short, anywhere! In order for Lake Forest Church to be a welcoming and worshipping church, we all pitch in! You don’t have to go through Welcome 101 to be on a serve team, although there are a few leadership positions that are reserved for Ministry Partners (those who call Lake Forest home).
Not sure where to start? That’s okay! We have a Serve Team Match Tool that will ask you questions and, just like a personality assessment, provide you a list of your perfect matches and suggestions of where to get started.

Where can I serve beyond the church?

Jesus gives us the power and command to “go” make disciples and care for those in need. Therefore, Lake Forest Church joins the Missio Dei (mission of God) by engaging in the lives of vulnerable people; the homeless and homebound, orphans and widows and the unreached and overlooked. Our goal is to share God’s love with our actions and words.
We have short and long term missions opportunities right here in the Lake Norman area, nearby in our region of the US, and throughout the world.
