Tabitha Rice

Youth Ministry Coordinator
Tabitha’s role at Lake Forest is ‘all things youth!’ She is responsible for working alongside our youth ministry team to shape the programs for middle and high school students. Tabitha is passionate about discipling the next generation and mentoring youth so that they can confidently grow in their personal relationship with Christ. She is also keen on making spreadsheets and creating clear, intentional programming for the ministry.
Tabitha’s role, beyond Sunday evening youth group, involves meeting with students, leaders, and the leaders of other ministry areas, as well as time working on those color-coded spreadsheets that help keep the method to the madness organized. On a typical Sunday you can find Tabitha bouncing around connecting with the youth attending Sunday services. 99% of the time, she’ll have an iced coffee in hand.
Tabitha’s God story is all about God’s steadfastness and creating relationships to bring her to Him. God continually revealed Himself to Tabitha through friendships, mentorships, and an amazing freshman year movie night watching The Case for Christ. (Ask her about it!) Tabitha knows the power of connection and how important community is in inviting and supporting people in their walk with God. She wants Youth to have a culture of walking in faith together and making room for one more person.
Tabitha is from upstate New York, specifically the beautiful Hudson Valley. As a born and raised New Yorker, she carries strong opinions on pizza and deli sandwiches (shredded iceberg lettuce only). Tabitha has family up and down the East Coast, and she loves all of the out-of-town guests that she gets to host for the holidays.
Outside of her work at Lake Forest, Tabitha loves reading, baking, and watching minor league baseball. Growing up Tabitha worked at a minor league baseball stadium and was even the mascot from time to time! Currently, she serves as a softball coach here in Denver. On a typical day off, Tabitha is trying out a new cookie recipe, having a board game night with friends, or taking a drive to a historic site. Tabitha loves history and is fascinated by people’s stories.
