Leading a Purpose Driven Life

This group will follow the book “The Purpose Driven Life; What on Earth am I Here For?”. The book has a 42-day plan to explore the life God created us to live. Each week, we’ll have a reading assignment and group discussion on what we read. The group will be provided with questions to kick off the discussion each week. I hope you’ll join me in learning to live a more purpose driven life!

First Fridays – A group for creatives.

Join us for dinner & conversation about life and faith with some jam-worship time, when the venue allows. Our hope is to build friendship and community among the musicians, artists, and self-proclaimed ‘creatives’ in and around Lake Forest church.  All are welcome, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.

A young adult group for exploring faith and building connections.

Our goal is to create a group for those in their 20’s to early 30’s to connect and grow (those with young families are welcome).  We are a safe place for anyone who wants to explore their faith and build deeper connections with others regardless of relationship status or stage of life. We also like to do fun social outings as a group.

We will focus on living in community to serve the Lord, each other, our church family and those living in the area that God has placed us.

REFOCCUS – a group for married couples to build skills and direction in their marriage.

REFOCCUS is ideal for married couples who wish to spend time and energy on their relationship but desire a little direction and skill building assistance in doing so. Growth and change are ongoing with marriage.  REFOCCUS Marriage Enrichment Inventory is designed to be used by couples throughout their marriage.Responses indicate what needs discussing, what you as a couple have achieved that can be celebrated, and what would benefit from further discussion.
REFOCCUS is ultimately about bringing awareness to major aspects of marriage.

 Mom’s Meet Up – A group for moms of young kids.

We invite all moms with a young child (ages 0-4) to join us. We encourage you to bring your kids. They’ll have an opportunity to play and make friends. The moms hang out and read a short devotional together. We would love if you could join us for friendship and spiritual refreshment. We want to offer all moms of young children an opportunity to connect with others.

Podcast discussion – a discussion group for men.

We are a group open to men of all ages who are interested in studying and discussing the commentary from the BEMA podcast, which is hosted by Marty Solomon who is a Jewish Christian. He walks us through the Bible from a Hebrew (eastern) perspective bringing new depth to our understanding of God’s Word and God’s desires for us.
