Serve Teams

Are you eager to make a difference?

Lake Forest Church is not an institution or a building, it’s a community of people who are on a journey of pursuing Jesus together. And we need each other to make it all happen.

There are so many places to make an impact at Lake Forest; not only does your service honor God and show love to our church family, but it’s also a great way to meet others.

Connection Teams

We work together to make sure that everyone who comes to our church feels welcome.

GREETERS – Offer a welcoming smile to people as they arrive for church.
USHERS – Help prepare our space for worship, then guide people to their seats. Communion serving and offering collection are also often involved.
COFFEE TEAM – Serve up coffee and lemonade with a smile! No barista experience required.
PARKING – Help direct traffic flow and keep everyone safe in the parking lot. (Bonus: a really cool yellow vest!)
INFO TABLE – Help new guests learn about our church, get connected, and find answers to their questions.

We provide a safe space for every child to explore faith, have fun, and connect with one another.

GREETERS/CHECK-IN – Welcome families, manage check-in, and help kids find their classrooms.
SMALL GROUP LEADERS – Guide experiences for kids of all ages. Hold babies, play with toddlers, or teach and guide kids through crafts and lessons.
TECH SUPPORT – Help our kids experience Bible stories by offering technical support in Kidventure spaces.
MUSIC & ART – Lend your creative talents to our Kidventure spaces, year round or for the holidays.
ADMIN SUPPORT – Help us behind the scenes and throughout the week to prepare space for kids on Sunday.

We make an impact on the lives of middle and high school students by guiding them, building relationships, and making spaces for them to grow in their faith, learn, and have fun.

SMALL GROUP LEADERS – Invest directly into the lives of students by building relationships and guiding small group conversation about important faith-based topics.
SET UP/TEAR DOWN – Help create spaces for events and gatherings where students will encounter God and connect with one another.
EVENTS SUPPORT – Serve occasionally at youth events, rather than weekly gatherings. Help us make the fun happen!
CURRICULUM & ADMIN – Behind the scenes support is vital as we seek to strategize, plan, and communicate clearly about our ministry.

BAND & VOCALS – Share your musical gifts and glorify God as you lead others in worship.
COMPUTER GRAPHICS – Help lead worship and provide visual aide by running lyrics and displaying graphic slides during hosting and messages.
CAMERA OPERATORS – Capture our band and communicators in action so that we can share our services online.
LIGHTING OPERATORS – Help create a worship environment that glorifies God and inspires our congregation.
AUDIO ENGINEERS – Run audio for our services so that people can hear God’s word clearly, and create great sound with our band.
HOSTING – Use your personality and gift to communicate by being a part of our team of hosts who deliver information, announcements, and vision during Sunday services.
PHOTOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA – Capture what happens at Lake Forest, so that more may see and feel welcome before they ever step foot on our campus.
BAPTISM & COMMUNION – Help us prepare for these important sacraments by setting up, gathering materials, and cleaning up.
GREEN ROOM MEAL PREP – Prepare breakfast for our teams who are first in, last out on Sunday mornings.

Care Team

We extend a hand to those exploring faith and walk alongside those who are hurting.

FIRST TIME GUEST FOLLOW UP – Communicate with our first time guests after they turn in a connection card.
VISITATION – visit those who are hurting or hospitalized to extend hospitality beyond our walls.
MEALS – share meals with those who are in need, and organize meal trains.
PRAYER – Receive and pray for the needs of our church community.
