Need help spiritually discerning if this trip is for you?

Prayer Guide:

Ask God to open your heart to whatever he has planned for you

Ask Him to open your heart to pilgrimage and spiritual transformation

Observe your concerns and pray for God to remove obstacles and fears

What are my financial concerns

What are my personal health concerns and/or fears of traveling to another country far from my medical support?

Am I distracted by all that is involved in travel and concerned about logistic especially,  if I don’t have a travel partner?

Am I worried that I will not have the endurance I may need to travel, tour and learn?

How will I find child care for two weeks?

Am I willing to use my vacation time for the unique value of this kind of trip?

Am I concerned about the political situation in Israel?

Am I prepared for spiritual warfare…am I able to recognize it, understand it and combat it in the name of Jesus?

A prayer written by a Lake Forest Church Ministry Partner:

Lord, I call upon You for Your wisdom and guidance as I consider this journey- a trip I desire to take to grow closer to and deepen my understanding of who You are. But I can’t deny that there are fears and constraints I’m facing in this decision. Speak to me Father, as I ask:

-Will You open my heart to what You have planned for me in your supreme wisdom?

-Will You open my heart to pilgrimage and spiritual transformation?

As I list these fears, I still want to remember that You are in control. You are above any problem and can move in powerful ways. Lord, as I consider this journey may You speak to me of Your will, bolster my courage, and allow me to make this decision with the full confidence of your unwavering, everlasting presence and faithfulness.
