This event is for anyone in the Lake Forest Family of churches or anyone in the broader community that are Dressember advocates and are planning to participate in the Dressember 2024 Style Challenge (by wearing a dress or tie and raising funds and awareness to fight human trafficking for the 31 days of December).
At this Kick-off event, we will help each advocate set up their fundraising profile and join a team of other advocates who will support them; We’ll host a session, giving advocates tips and tricks on using social media, and share ideas about various ways to campaign and spread awareness to fight human trafficking in your circles. Finally, we will also have a dress / tie swap so you can “shop” and refresh your closet just in time for the Style Challenge!
We’ll have light refreshments, and will spend quality time together with other advocates who share the same passion as we do for fighting human trafficking!
This event is free and open to anyone (first-time Dressember advocates, and long-time supporters!) Feel free to bring a friend or family member with you and get them to join you in the Style Challenge – the more, the merrier 🙂
If able, please bring a personal device to make signing up for your fundraising page even easier, and feel free to bring any (adult or teen) dresses and ties to give away in the clothing swap!
