Emily Dennis

Missions Coordinator
Emily supports the Missions Team and Ministry Leaders (those leading mission efforts at LFC like Kid’s Hope, Lake Forest Shares, and other local, regional, and international mission efforts) and creates pathways for people to connect with these ministries. She gets to work alongside our Missions Team in coordinating events and initiatives, as well as serve as a liaison between the Missio Dei team and the rest of the church staff.
Emily’s favorite thing about her role is seeing people thrive in the leadership of their missions efforts, and she loves getting to support those leaders as they do. Emily came to Lake Forest in the Fall of 2022, joining the staff team in May of 2023.
When asked about her God Story, Emily says that, “if someone were to read my God Story, they’d find the Lord showing up by placing people in my life to remind me that His plans for me are always better than anything I could make for myself. My God Story connects to my role at LFC through His consistent call of me serving in collaborative roles and my heart for missions.”
Emily comes to Denver from Southeast Florida, where she was born and raised. Emily moved to North Carolina in 2022, and is loving the mountain scenery and adventuring around North Carolina.
During her time away from Lake Forest, Emily is working toward her Masters Degree in Global Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Emily was also a ‘band kid,’ and has been playing the flute for over ten years. When she has down time from work and school, Emily enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and exploring the Lake Norman area.
